One With Nature Since 1918
"O" for the Odet River. "C" for the Cascadec mill. "B" for the Bolloré family whose passion made it happen.
It's not just our name, it's our story — a love affair that's lasted almost 200 years.
1822 Born on the Banks of the River Odet
Our natural process was born just outside of Ergue-Gaberic, France, on the banks of the River Odet. Its crisp, cool waters powered our mill and served as one of our first ingredients. We've been going with nature's flow ever since.
1917 Turning The Page & Lighting It Up
For nearly a century, letter paper, cotton paper, and muslin paper had been our specialty, but that all went up in smoke in 1917. As rolling came into fashion, we purchased the Cascadec paper mill and set out to craft the finest rolling papers the world had ever seen.
1918 Rolling Out An Icon
We knew our craft, we knew our passion, and in 1918, we finally stamped a name on it. Over the course of the next hundred years, OCB®—three letters infused with history and pride—would come to represent our very best.
1922 More A Circus Than A Centennial
We kicked off our second century of pushing paper with eight straight days of dances, carousels, gymnasts, and parades. By the time we wrapped up, more than 500 people had joined the party. Legend has it that a few of them are still going...
2009 Harmony On High
Wood fiber had been our go-to since the beginning, but in 2009 we had a breakthrough when we introduced our first natural rolling paper crafted with pure, French-grown organic hemp. It was a hit.
2013 There's A First Time For Everything
Virgin is a paper crafted from experience, but it was absolutely a first for OCB®. Crafted from sustainable wood fiber, this unbleached, ultra-thin paper is an embodiment of a more Earth-friendly and enjoyable way to roll.
2020 Another Kind of Grass
Bamboo is one of the most sustainable resources on Earth, and a perfect paper ingredient. So, in 2020, we rolled out our first ultra-thin, slow-burning Bamboo rolling paper—a new pinnacle of sustainable enjoyment that even Mother Nature approves of.
