Futhermore, 2023 marks an exceptionally special year for Dunhill's Christmas pipes as it begins a new thematic cycle. From 2023 through 2029, Dunhill's Christmas pipes take inspiration from the collection of children's stories The Happy Prince and Other Tales (1888) by Irish poet, playwright, and novelist Oscar Wilde.

Dunhill's 2023 Christmas pipe is based on the titular tale, The Happy Prince. The story concerns a statue of the Happy Prince that is adorned with precious jewels and gold leaf. The Happy Prince overlooks a village and takes pity on the poor townsfolk, and with the help of a European swallow, he distributes his riches to the needy until he is barren. Dunhill pays homage to the Happy Prince with a fitting pipe shape, their "07" Prince. Furthermore, the "07" Prince is rendered in Group 4 size, is equipped with a silver military mount, and is dressed in the iconic Cumberland finish. Additionally, Dunhill immortalizes the Happy Prince with a sterling silver tamper that depicts his smiling visage, and he is fitted with two sapphire eyes and a ruby on his sword hilt, two important symbols from the story. Moreover, Dunhill crafted an extremely limited number of 2023 Christmas pipes.
